When I was in High School, we played Baytown in some real close games in the play-offs. We didn't always win, either! I went to Ray High School in Corpus Christi, and that was in the early '50s. Boerne is a gorgeous place! Ever go out to Tapitio Springs? Love it! Velma
Yes the Goslings were quite a team, people said if you lived in Baytown, you worked at Humble and loved football... I was at Robert E. Lee , now the town has two high schools... No Velma, I don't know where that is, but I have forgotten a lot of places that I knew then....Old age sets in... I do remember Port La Vodca (sp) was that near you? My uncle was a Shrimper, and on the ham set at his house I could hear a lot of people from there trying to contact other shrimpers out in the Gulf of Mexico and my uncle had the largest ban reach in those days and he would patch the family members on to the shrimpers out in the Gulf... wow, I haven't thought of that in years.. hugs to you, Gay ----- Original Message ----- From: <Vrgfdonna@aol.com> To: <BRIDGES-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, November 14, 2003 3:01 PM Subject: Re: [BRIDGES-L] Baytown and Boerne, Tx. > When I was in High School, we played Baytown in some real close games in the > play-offs.
