I have an Allen Harvey Bridges, born 1803 in North Carolina, in the Wilson County, TN census in 1830 and 1840 census records, married Sarah Hancock in Wilson County in 11-29-1827. He was mentioned in court records there in 1842(Allen H., merchant) and in 1850(Allen, address unknown). There is filed in Wilson County a will of Barry B. Tipton with one of his heirs being Prunella Bridges, daughter of Allen H. I believe Sarah Hancock Bridges died bet.1844-1845. His children in Henry County were Pearl, Porter, Polena, Parlar, and Patria. My A. H. Bridges then migrated to Henry County, TN, with wife Esther Howard(they are in the 1850 census in Henry County, TN....Sarah's family also moved to that area). I wondered, Wanda, if there might be some connection between your Allen J. and my Allen H. Could Allen Jones be father or uncle to Allen Harvey? Any ideas? -Carol Wilke [email protected]
