Hi Barbara, I think that everyone just must have lots going on what with the time of year. Most of the lists that I am 'on' have been very, very quite for several weeks. Well, I have been busy, and putting it off, but it looks like we should get something started on this list. My BRIDGES is Hardy BRIDGES, b. abt 1801, who married Nancy Copeland in Greene Co. GA, on Dec 17, 1822. Their daughter, Rebecca, married Abner BRUCE on Jan. 16, 1843, and by 1860 they were in Attala Co. MS ,and then to Conway Co. AR by 1870. Hardy states that he was born in GA, so I don't know where his parents were from. Does anyone connect to this line. Julia French Wood
Julia and ALL, I'm already a proud sponsor of Rootsweb. I hope that others will be too. It is a small contribution indeed for all that one gets from it. Thanks, Julia. I greatly appreciate the help. I have: "A Family Called Fort" which is a book dealing with the descendants of Elias Fort of VA (who was alive in 1667) and related families. The other one is: "Genealogy of the Descendants of John Walker of Wigton, Scotland, with Records of a Few Allied Families 1600-1902".
