Stan, Do you have any information on your Robert A. Bridges b-1837? Help! Judy [email protected]
Do you have a death date for your Joseph? This is really grasping at straws, but, last night I was checking out a website that lists all Soldiers of 1812, and in Greene Co., GA, in Thomas's Reg't, along with my James BRUCE, there was James BRIDGES, John BRIDGES, and Joseph BRIDGES. I know that James and John were brothers of my Hardy BRIDGES, and am guessing the Joseph was, also, or could have been. Your Joseph could be this same one who served in the War of 1812, and if yours lived long enough to draw a pension, (which would be after 1870, and I am not sure of the date), then the pension file could yield some information about the family. James moved to Attala Co., MS and applied for a pension which Ann Wise so generously placed on her webpage. (and I have lost the address of her page) Fingers crossed, and awaiting your reply. Oh, BTW, the site for the War of 1812 Veterans is: http://www.sierrahome.com/familytree/records/ Julia French Wood In a message dated 10/23/2000 8:34:48 AM Central Daylight Time, [email protected] writes: << FIRST GENERATION 1.
