Hi Cuzzies I need to find George W. born about 1855, his brother Tom J. born 1858. Both born in Georgia, later 1880, were in Limestone County Ala. Another brother S J. "Tony" Bridges was born in Tenn. I don't know which counties nor do I have access to any records. Thanks GLP
Hi list, I am wondering if anyone is tracing a Bridges family from Al. > TN? My TN Bridges look like they may have come first to AL before TN, and before that Ireland. I seem to be moving right along with location, but still having a hard time with brothers and sisters of Tom in TN! I would like to find Tom's brothers and sisters in TN, yrs about 1840 with a father named George from AL. If you dont have my Bridges, please post yours to get this list going! patty
Hi Donna, I'll have to go back and look thru my notes but your James M. is not the same as Robert's James M. Donna's James M is a nephew of Robert's James M who's Father was in fact James R. Bridges born 1821. I dont know where I have it but I have Donna's James M. as born in 1880. Thanks J.D. Hardin
Thanks for reply on James Monroe Bridges. If anyone has mine 1847- about 1882 in Hardin County, Tennessee please let me know. His wife was Mary E. Johnson who moved to Cleveland County, Arkansas and died 1923. He might be the son of James Riley Bridges 1821-1907 in TN. Any info appreciated. Robert, Doesn't sound like the same one then. I had heard that our James Monroe (1879-1938) married once before his marriage to Emma Toon (1900), though I have not confirmed it. Our James Monroe ended up leaving Arkansas and going to Amador City, CA which is where he died. I have a James Monroe Bridges born 1847 who lived in Tennessee and is buried in Henderson County, TN. He did have children who went to Arkansas (Cleveland County) but he married Mary Johnson who came to Cleveland County, Arkansas after her husband's death and lived there until her death in 1923. I am still researching the William Bridges b. 1808 d. 1888. Died in Montgomery Co., GA. Married Nancy Callahan in 1827. Who were his siblings and parents? Where was he born? I think he is the grandfather of Andrew J. Bridges b. 1854 d. 1908 in Montgomery Co GA who married Sarah McDaniel and Mary McLendon. Sarah d. 1902 and Andrew and Mary m. in 1903. Mary McLendon was in her 50's and had never married when she and Andrew married. Mary died in 1954. Does anyone know these Bridges? Thanks. Doris
