    1. Re: [BRIDGES-L] Jonathan Bridges & wife Nancy Patan/Paton
    2. Donna
    3. Hi, My Jonathan Bridges didn't have a son named William, but there was a William Bridges in that area (b. 1766, NC or SC), who I think might have been related to Jonathan in some way - brother or cousin?. This William went to Martin Co., IN (possibly in Lawrence Co., IN by 1824) before Jonathan took his family north in 1829. William was in the 1830 Martin Co., IN census. Jonathan was in the 1830 Lawrence Co., IN Census. By 1840, William and Jonathan were in Martin Co., IN. In 1850, Jonathan Bridges lived in Baker Twp., Martin Co., IN, and William Bridges lived in Micheltree Twp. with his youngest son, Allen - William then listed as born in NC. William did have a son, William Bridges, Jr., b. 1797 in Green Co., KY, which was just north of Barren Co., KY (Green Co. was formed from part of Barren Co. and Nelson Co., KY). I have that he died in 1892, in KY. I don't have any information on whether he married. There should be some on the list tied to this William Bridges line. My Jonathan Bridges had these children that we know of for sure: 1. Charlotta/or Lottie Bridges (b. in SC, 1803/4), m. James Hurt in KY (went to IN) 2. Mariah Green Bridges (b. 1805, KY), m. Geo. W. McReynolds in IN. 3. Isaac Titsworth Bridges (b. 1815, KY), m. Matilda J. Wade in KY. 4. John J. Jackson Bridges (b. 1815, KY), m. Rebecca Reynolds in IN. 5. Elizabeth Bridges (b. 1819, KY), m. Geo. W. Kinder in IN. 6. Martha/or Patsy Bridges, b. 1823, KY), m. Elias Rollins in IN. 7. Edmond Green Bridges, b. 1830, IN), m. 3 times - wife of his 12 children was Alsadia/or Elsada Pulse, m. in IN. William Bridges children: 1. James B. Bridges (b. 1792/3, NC or SC) 2. Nancy Bridges (b. 1795, SC), m. Ralph/or Raphael Hudson 3. William Bridges, Jr. (b. 1797, KY) 4. Eliza Bridges, (b. 1797-1799, KY), m. Alexander Scott in KY. 5. Jane Bridges, (b. 1801/2, KY), m. John Underwood in KY. 6. Absolom Bridges, (b. 1805, KY), died at the Alamo 7. Sarah/Sally Bridges, (b. 1806, KY), m. Bruner Hickman, Lawrence Co., IN. 8. Margaret Bridges, (b. 1807-1814, KY), m. William Norman in Martin Co., IN. 9. Thomas George Bridge, (b. 1809, KY), m. Nancy Hester abt 1835, IN. 10. Joel Bridges, (b. 1813, KY), m. Lucinda Feit/Faith in IN. 11. Allen Denman Bridges, (b. 1817, KY) m. Eliza Jane Feit/Faith in IN. Anyone with corrections or additions to these lines, please let me know. 2. DC and Alice Allen
    3. Am new to the list, and am searching for the husband of the above Barbara Millet. All I have to go on is that Barbara is mentioned in her father's will, dated 24 Sep. 1798 in Ontario Co. NY, as Barbara Bridges. I am just beginning to "flesh out" my ggg grandfather's brothers & sisters, so if anyone has any information on a Bridges/Millet marriage, I would appreciate some help. Barbara was born in Voluntown CT 22 Feb 1766, daughter of Jonathan & Jenet (Edmund) Millet. The family may have gone to the Wyoming Valley area of PA before ending up in NY, so the marriage to this unknown Bridges could have occurred in any of these 3 places. Thanks for any help anyone can give me. Alice Allen
