    1. [BRIDGES-L] John Jackson Bridges
    2. Looking for info on John Jackson Bridges who married Jensey Lucretia Garrett in 1833. John/Jack lived in Livingston County, KY. He and Lucretia had two children: John and Martha. John/Jack seems to be related to the following Bridges: Harrison, Larkin, and William. Those four Bridges boys seem to have been born between 1800-1815. Thanks. Dawnene

    3. Hi folks, Since we've got a lot of activity on the Bridges listserv, I thought I'd put my ancestors out there again (its been about a year). Looking for information on gggrandfather, Thomas Bridges, who was married to Nancy Moore and lived in Shelby Co. Alabama as early as 1836 and died in 1850. Nancy's father may have been Farmer Moore and brother may have been Blanton Moore of same county. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks, Donna Bridges [email protected]

    1. [BRIDGES-L] Bridges from Dublin Ireland
    2. Robert Gagnon
    3. Hello, My GGrandfather states that he comes from Dublin, Ireland on my Grandfather's birth certificate done in Liverpool, England. My Grandfather was boron in Liverpool before passage to Montreal, Quebec, Canada. This was in either 1907 or 1908. We suspect that it might be an alias since there is family history that he might have been on the run from the British occupation forces. If anyone has any information on Bridges family members in Ireland it would help immensely. Thank you Robert

    3. Wanda; Do you have a Jerome BRIDGES (18 Oct 1818- 31 Jan 1901) or Lucy A.Bridges-(08 Mar 1828-28 Oct 1858)--Jerome a run-away bond slave, married Isabelle Buchanan, 3 Mar 1846. Their youngest son, my grandfather was William Green Bridges, his eldest son was Le Roy Bridges and his eldest son was Walter William Bridges. Lucy Bridges married Matthew Buchanan, Isabelle's brother. Census records indicate she was born in Illinois or Indiana. Jerome was born in Fairfax Co., Virginia. Isabelle and Matthew Buchanan were born in Washington Co., Virginia. 1. [BRIDGES-L] JOEL C. BRIDGES
    2. Donna
    3. Karen, Two of my Bridges, in one family, have the middle name of Green - one being my ancestor, Mariah Green Bridges, the other her younger brother, Edmond Green Bridges. Parents were Jonathan & Nancy (Paton) Bridges, who married in SC, had one child there, and then went to Barren Co., KY and next Allen Co., KY. In 1829 they went to Lawrence and Martin Co.'s of Indiana. I find it interesting that your Bridges also has "Green" for the middle name, and can't help but wonder if they all came from the same families in the Carolina's. There was a William Bridges, b. 1766, NC, who went to Barren & Green Co.'s of KY, and he had a son named Joel Bridges, b. 1813, KY, who m. in Martin Co., Indiana, Lucinda Faith/or Feit, in 1837. This line went to Indiana in the early 1820's. This line also produced two more Joel Bridges that I have records for. Some of my Bridges line settled in Worth Co., MO, first being in Ringgold Co., IA by 1860. I think there might be a relationship with William and Jonathan Bridges (b. 1775, SC), but cannot find proof yet. Since their KY homes bordered on Tenn., I also have the feeling that they were tied to some of the Tenn. Bridges. I had other lines that went from VA to NC to TN then to KY and then up into IN. So it was a common route. If you can find any resemblances, please let me know. Donna
