    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: KMcGeeAllen Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/topics.researchresources.brick-20-walls/157.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I have a Frank Charles Pierce born 1859 in Boone County,IL and died in 1920 in Winnebago County, IL. Not sure if this is your Frank C. Pierce though. My Frank Pierce is the son of James L. Pierce and Nancy Eugenia (Sears or Sehrs) Pierce. Now, story has it that James and Nancy were heading out West via wagon train when they got as far as Michigan and James died. Because it was taboo for single women to travel alone during that time, Nancy married a man by the name of Perris Bassett and came back with him to IL when the wagon train headed North again. Nancy did reside in Michigan for a time when she was around 10 yrs. old. Not sure if this is your family too, but feel free to take a look at my McGee family tree on ancestry.com and see what you think.
