In several census records she lists her birth as Illinois, but my Dad told me that she corresponded with her family in Missouri, so they thought she was from there. He also said she was a distant cousin..not sure if it was a "Given" or "Givens", as there were many typos in records back then. I also was not able to find her death certificate from my paid online service. Kinda too far to Philly to get the actual record unless I send for it. Any thoughts outside of paying or going there?
