Found them in the 1920, 1930, and 1940 census. Their place of birth is listed as Germany (for the parents). My grandfather was (allegedly) a first generation american born to Irish parents. He is believed to be the oldest of three children (or three known to live until the 1950s) I have no obit for John Patrick Morrison. He died in Bellmore, Nassau, NY. I have been unable to get his military records (Destroyed in the 1973 fire). Going to try the VA, as my father received benefits (from something, either Social Security benefits or military benefits) after his father died when he was 14 (In 1968).
