Could she possibly be the Sarah Elliott below who may have remarried? Roscoe is such a small town that the listing of a Joseph S Hill (d. in 1885) married to a Sarah E Hill seems like a very strong coincidence. One possibility, if Joseph S Hill died in 1885, perhaps some of his young children may have been sent to live with relatives or put up for adoption? I know that you said that Joseph Hill, son of Joseph S Hill and Sarah E Crane, was born about 1879. Do you know when he died? I kept hunting for other possibilities and kept coming back to the following Joseph Hill. His marriage to a Sarah E appears to be his second marriage. The first was to a Jane.
