He was born in 1862 and we think Carrie was born in 1870. Here's what I have. William Walter (Billie Walter) (1862) married Carrie Campbell (1870 - 1901?) who was also born in Bethel, Wilcox County, Alabama. Billie Walter and Carrie were married on January 8, 1885. The 1900 census lists that Billie Walter and Carrie had 7 children: Mary (1886), Mathew D. (1889 - 1937), Leddell (1890), Porter (1892 - 1974), Luberta (1894), Alex (1896 - 1969 ), and William T. (1899) all born in Pine Hill, Wilcox County, Alabama. Both Billie Walter and Carrie were educated and had the ability to read and write. Their occupations were farming and keeping house.
