I need help with finding a John William West, Born in 1828. Records say conflicting things. Some records say he was born in Gouldsboro, Maine. Others say he was born in the West Indies and others say Wisconsin. In the 1880 Census it states John William West and both parents were born in the West Indies. On 28 Nov 1857 John William West married Prudence "Dency" Tenney,in Columbia, Maine, USA. Thats where my the trail ends for me. I can't not find John William West's parents or any records from the West Indies or where exactly in the West Indies they are from. Any help would be appreciated.
