The name shows in the us census in 1790 and is the only one listed in america at the time. it is from cornwall england. there are no know Jagos on passenger lists prior to 1800...yet the family is there. In coldhams book immiigrants in bondage - to be sent to america....there is an Ittai Jago convicted in aug 1739 in cornwall and to be transported to America. I have gone through as many lists as I can and I cannot find his records....I expect on one of these ships: (the name could be mispelled - aug could have been april, 1739 could have been 1737 - just cant find it) Oct 1738 Genoa T53/39/409 Jan 1739 Dorsetshire T53/39/408 Apr 1739 Forward 53/39/448 Jul 1739 Sea Nymph Bond Oct 1739 Duke of Cumberland 76 T53/40/45 Jun 1740 Essex117 T53/40/204 Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
