I can find no information on my Grandmother.She married Arvel Clarence Carter abt. 1920-21?. Possibly in Alberta, Canada. (Magrath, Medincine Hat, or even Calgary). It may have been in Montana, also? She and Arvel lived in Browning, Mt in 1926. Arvel may have been known as "Kid" Carter and did some boxing in Canada, but also was a farmer in Montana.(Browning) I have her on two birth records as Mary Kirkpatrick Chernow. ( 1923, Sunland, Ca. and 1924 in San Fernando, Ca.) On one birth record for 1922, Browning, Mt) she is Florence Marjorie Chernow. Another birth in Browning, Mt. in 1925, not sure of which name on that one. I have found some info that states she was born in Russia abt. 1903-4 and may have immigrated to Canada 1909-1912. Have some info that her parents could Possibly? be Tony & Espontemio Chernow. Tony from Gome, Russia. I am not sure if Mary and Florence are the same person. Arvel is connected to both and all the children have him as the father. Arvel's brother Sylven Carter married a Freda Chernow in Cut Bank, Glacier Co., Mt. on July 26, 1921 and a Peter Chernow was named as her father with mother unknown. I do not know if there is a connection between Freda and Mary (Florence) Chernow. Any Help I can get with is Complicated situation would be Greatly Appreciated.
