Have you checked out familysearch.org? Many databases are available on-line on that site. Also you can search the library catalog on the site and see what films (church, vital, land records) are available for your area, and if there is a Family History Center near you, where you order them (for a nominal fee) and view them. A Genealogical/Historical Society in the area might be of help, you can google and see if there is one. Google the name of the county, state, and genealogy.
