She did have family in Hungary, but without her maiden name ?? And the only family here was my mom (deceased) and my uncle (deceased). All of her friends have since passed away also. I do believe she might have been Jewish. There was no set church, she never talked about her faith and my mom's babtism/confimation/marriage were all done in different protestant faiths. I know that isn't much, but it has always been a gut feeling. But I hadn't found anything about my grandfather in Philadelphia. Will check there. You have been a great help - so here I go.. by the way, love this. I am so addicted I cannot help myself. Found my father's family all the way back to before 1600's... this is a wonderful history lesson in the making. Thanks again.
