Author: BrianMartin629 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/topics.researchresources.brick-20-walls/171.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi Denise, On the 1861 Census, there is a William Ellingworth, age 45, and Ann, his wife, 42, living at Horbling, Bourne, Lincs. William is said to have been born at Hacconby, which is very close to Stainfield. ...And Ann was born at Asgarby, Lincs. Two children: Mary Ann & Henry with them. .........Working backwards to 1851 census, I found Ann Ellingworth (born at Asgarby)was living with her parents, who are Anthony and Ann Sharp. She has four Ellingworth children with her here at her parent's house: Anthony 9, Susanna 3, Mary Ann 2, and Henry 3 months. William, her husband, is not there. [The last two children here are also on the '61 census above.] On the 1841 census, William Ellingworth(25) and Ann(20) appear to be living at Aslackby, Bourne. No children yet. I looked for a marriage. One came up: WILLIAM ELLINGWORTH married ANNE SHARP in 1841(2nd quart) at Sleaford, Lincs (GRO 14 973). Sleaford is north of Stainfield and Hacconby. The census that year was held on the night of 6th/7th June. You might care to check this for yourself before accepting it as proof. I have kept print-outs of each census. Hope this is of interest to you, Brian, Glasgow Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
