    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. I am a direct descendant of Hiel Hunt and have worked on his line. I do not have his siblings yet. If you check my page, you can see his children and his father's page, too. Hiel's father, Jonathan, was a soldier in the Revolutionary War. That much is from family records and documentation found. I have sent for Hiel's obituary but have not received it yet, I'm hoping for siblings. This is what I know so far, based mostly on family records. http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/15409560/person/485123759 Click to Hiel. If you think I can help in any way, please let me know. Oh, and I was just reading on something called the "Firelands" "Fire Lands" as they were called in the early 1800's which was Huron/Erie Counties in Ohio. Land given because of the fires from British invasion during the Rev. War period. Whether or not even Hiel got his property that way, I do not know. I almost suspect not because of one of the "Almon Hunt" stories I have posted on Hiel and Jonathan's page. There were many Hunts that lived in the Huron County area, and there is a place called "Hunt's Corners", you can google that. I suspect many were related, but don't know for sure. Please let me know if I can help in any way. And, please, if you research and find any link to Hiel - I'd love to know! I want to fill in his siblings!! Did you try a search here? If you know the spouse, it may show up. https://familysearch.org/search/records/index#count=20&query=+givenname:Hiel~ +surname:Hunt~&collection_id=1784223 Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
