We have not had much luck with Google Books on this side of the world either, so I hope this works. Beatrice Williams -James Vincent Piacenti (1901-?) m. Catherine Horrigan -Mary Rose Piacenti (1904-1975) m. Frank Pagano -Russario J Piacenti (1906-1976) m. ? -Charles E Piacenti (1913-1963) m. Josephine Zullo -Edward M Piacenti (1917-2010) m. Marie Frances Piacenti In 1930, Vincent and Rose were living at 321 Foster Avenue, Schenectady, NY with their two youngest children, Carl (Charles) and Edward. http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?db=1930usfedcen&h=46093057&indiv=try In 1930, their 2nd oldest son, Vincent (James Vincent), was living next door at 319 Foster Avenue, Schenectady, with his wife Katherine and 3 children, Vincent, Marian, and Edward. Name variations I've seen for Piacenti: Piacente, Picenti, Percente, Percenti, Peacenti. (*note: there are a few Vincent Piacentis around the same age as Vincenzo (1870) also in NY; even a Vincent (1887) & Rose (1895) Piacenti living in Brooklyn, NY in 1930. And a few younger Vincents belonging to different families.) WHY can I not find census records for Vincenzo and Rosalia Piacenti or their children before 1930? As you can see, there is no doubt they were in New York by 1900! Now, I DID find a 1926 city directory listing Vincent J at his 1930 address, 321 Foster Avenue, but that's it. You'd think I'd also be able to find (and verify) a draft registration for Vincent or any of his sons, but no. :/ Please be forewarned if you decide to help...you may get a headache! ;) Thanks for any leads! Her birth card says she was born 14 AUG 1914 yet...her baptismal says born 14 AUG 1915 and bap. 29 AUG 1915. YIKES!!! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
