Author: SharonJohnson3011 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/topics.researchresources.brick-20-walls/386.4.1.1.1.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi I have contacted authorities in Ohio without success, have had someone else search records in Ohio without success, have had people search in Virginia and Connecticut wthout success. William J was running a business called Days Confectionery in 1855 in Cincinnati (Walnut Street) was in a business directory listing(his sister and husband owned the business and I believe she was sick). He later bought this business. HOWEVER, he was shown on a census in 1855 in New York staying with one of his other sisters! I hope that makes sense. Their marriage seems and is alleged to have occurred in New York sometime between 1855 and 1859 when their first child was born. I dont know where to go now. We cannot afford to keep paying genealogists in the states - they are expensive and are fast running out of options to search without having to be physically present - i.e. we cannot visit libraries, microfiche holders, Family Search has offered nothing at all - that's about it.
