No, I haven't had much luck in locating exactly where/when my ancestor Samuel Allison was born in KY. I'm fairly certain he was born in 1811, based on census records, but I haven't been able to confirm his birthplace (several people list Bracken or Christian counties, but I haven't found any hard evidence. Some family members remember my grandfather referring to his great grandfather as Isaac, which would be Samuel's father, so I'm hoping to find a connection there. These seem to be fairly common names, though. If you have any ideas that might help, I'd be very appreciative!!! Thanks! Both were born in Pennsylvania and lived there after their marriage. I'm trying to find Mollie's maiden name. They were married around 1872, had children: Nora, Sadie, Bunyan, Bessie, and William. They eventually moved to Rockford, Illinois. I'd also like to find Sadie's married name. She was married to "Al" and I was told they had a dry goods store but I do not know the location. I've searched and searched for Sadie Brown but only knowing her husband's first name which is probably abbreviated at that I've had no luck finding the information. . . most likely because I don't know where to look. He left Switzerland (not sure where from or when) and went to Mexico. He then went to El Paso, TX from Chihuhua, Mexico in 1893. She died in 1949 in California. Her children were my mother, Elizabeth Ruth - born Aug. 1, 1906 and my uncle, Wentworth born in 1904 both in Illinois. His birth name was Frances Wentworth. All of them died in California. How would I obtain a death dertificate from 1949? I know that Rilda was born in Kansas, but don't know the county. Does any of that information help? Do have a copy of her death certificate? The record may have the names of her parents. Pay attention to who was the informant of the data on the death cert. That data is only as good as the informants knowledge and memory. Do you know where Rilda Brown and Frank Goss were married? You need to find the marriage record, it should have the names of both their parents. Have you located her in any census after her marriage, and is there a list of children? Do you know who was there first child? When and where they were born? This can indicate when and where to find the marriage record.
