Well, actually, that information was given to me several years ago in an "in-process" electronic book sent to be by David Christopher called "The Descendants of Elder William Brewster in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick". He had done extensive research, interviewed Brewster descendents still living, etc. At that time I was just starting out in genealogy, and I had no reason at all to doubt the connection. It looks perfectly logical. I spent my limited research time piecing together the loose clues of the next three generations there, using information he had already discovered as the foundation. Unfortunately, I lost all my e-mail records about a year ago, with David's contact information included. I have no idea what evidence he may have had. I had never seen a copy of Samuel's will, and I agree that it is suspicious that John Pierce is not listed. I will see if my cousin in New Brunswick knows where to find him, as he is the one to know why the connection is claimed with such apparent absolute certainty. I know there is a very strongly held oral family tradition that these descendants of John Pierce Brewster stem from Elder William Brewster. It proves nothing, of course, but there is often some truth to these claims. In the meantime, can anyone else out there offer any clues? Cheers, Bruce
