They came to Tennessee from North Carolina settling in first in Smith County and later in Obion County. Some appear also to have migrated across the state line to Fulton County, Kentucky. My interests are in the black Brevards that came from that household, any of them, but in particular Harriet and Franklin Brevard (mother and son).
