He was Married to a native american woman who had children by her first husband a Mr. Green or Greene. In the late 1880's Steven and his wife had 2 sons Uriah M.C. Brevard and David Brevard. I am from the Uriah Brevard line. And I don't know if David had any children. But there maybe some out there. I am also looking for the Greens the are also family, maybe they have something to add to the Brevard/Green history. Steven was a slave and I don't think he moved to far from were he was born that was probaly Richland, South Carolina. Many of the Brevard Lived there. I also think that they did not move far from were some of them were in-slaved. I think they were slaves of Keziah Q. Brevard plantation before the civil war. I think two of the slaves that were named in the property Ledgers were her siblings. They were the only slaves given the last/any last name in the Brevard Ledgers. But I am still doing research. Also some of my relatives live on Kings Mountain. Sgt. 1st Class Christopher R. Brevard, 31, of Phoenix, died Mar. 16 in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds suffered when an improvised explosive device detonated near his unit. Brevard was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 501st Infantry Regiment, 4th Airborne Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Fort Richardson, Alaska.
