    3. You should look at the "A History of Preston County, WVA". You can download that off the web. Preston County was formed from Monongalia County. His father was born in Scotland. Elizabeth Phillips, Henry's wife, was born 1818 in Allegheny Co., Md and she may have been the daughter of a Jacob Phillips b. 1775.
