Merle, My documented sources say that the Stouders emigrated on the Ship Hope in 1733, not 1773. Christian Sr. was born in 1688, his son Christian Jr. was born in 1723. The family was Mennonite. In 1732, Christian Sr. was deacon of the Mennonite Congregation of 27 Mennonite families of Zweibruechen. Many if not most of the passengers on the Ship Hope in 1733 were Mennonite refugees. In the new world, both Christian Sr. and son Christian Jr. were baptized Brethren by elder Michael Frantz, Christian Sr. was baptized in 1737, and Christian Jr. was baptized in 1741. Christian Jr. had a son John who was born in the mid 1700s. This John Stouder was the one who married Sarah Brown. Christian Jr., son of Christian Sr. and father of John, represents the generation that you left out. Your 40 years gap between 1733 and 1773 for the Ship Hope might explain why you left out Christian Stouder Jr. from the family tree.
