Wayne, There are several internet programs that will shorten the URL for you and you don't have to know anything. :) For example Google has a URL shortener, http://goo.gl/ You simply copy your URL into the given space and hit the button. You have the same thing at http://ow.ly/url/shorten-url In fact, Webopedia has a list of 20 URL shortener programs at http://www.webopedia.com/quick_ref/20-ways-to-shorten-a-url.html --- all FREE!
