Thanks Merle. I see that Cooper shows a couple dates (1762 and 1764) when Martin went to Brothers Valley. What is confusing is that Martin shows on Antrim tax lists through 1768. Cooper does comment on this...maybe he was still landowner there although he was mostly in BV. The references that I have seen are not all that clear but I have pieced together the following: ************ No - I have some of what you gave, a difference is on his date of movement to Brothers Valley - I had that it was in 1764. I had from Austin Cooper (I think) that George Adam Martin and Peter Miller moved there in 1764. That was when Jacob Miller seems to have moved there also - likely because fo George Adam Martin and Peter Miller. Jacob was already a minister, Cooper found that he was advanced to Eldership in Stony Creek in 1765. By 1766 Jacob had returned to Maryland - to the Monocacy (west at the Blue Ridge). There was considerable conflict in the Stony Creek Church that year - likely with George Adam Martin's Pietism. George Adam Martin seems to have a lot of connection to the people that migrated to Kentucky. I have found a strong Pietist emphasis in the Kentucky migration - and it seems to George Adam Martin's type of Pietism. He broke from Ephrata, but was not accepted by the Elders of Annual Meeting. Several of his sons went to the Carolinas and Georgia. There is record somewhere that George Adam made several visits/trips to them - I think it was Abraham that was in Virginia (now West Virginia) where George Adam went one time. His son, David Martin, was a leading Elder in the Carolina/Georgia area. David's death in 1794 was just prior to the action by Annual Meeting against the "Universalism" in the Crolina Churches, so he is not referenced in it. I suspect that if he hadn't died, he would have been a prime contestant. I did not have the information on the 1762 Ban at the Conewago Church - thanks. I was told that there is an extent copy of a writing by George Adam Martin - that it is in German, and has never been translated. I would like to know some details of what he believed. I have that Elder Nicholas Martin was his brother - and I wonder if an Everhard Martin might have another - the Rachel Martin Stump Kimmel of Mulhenberg Co KY - is not the daughter of George Adam Martin - Rachel (c1765-c1810) 1/m c1780, Francis Stump - 2/m 1801, Phillip Kimmel -Muhlenberg Co KY father: Everhard Martin, mother: Jacobine E Wunderlich Merle C Rummel ************ George Adam MARTIN.........m. c1745..............Mary KNEPPER b. 27 Jun 1716 Landstuhl Germany..................b.............c1720 d. 29 Apr 1794 Brothers Valley PA.....................d. 10 Mar 1770 Ephrata bur: Stony Creek f.
