Andrea, I don't know the answer to your question, but if you are by any chance wanting to get into the DAR, then yes, your ancestor will qualify if he (or she) was around in 1775, simply by virtue of owning property and paying taxes, which is one of the ways to get them listed by the DAR. I have a cousin who registered all our ancestors because Bedford County, Penna has lists of Supply Taxes that were paid during a 7 year stretch, any time between 1775-1783. Without going into the worth of the DAR, the sheer expense of this endeavor - $80.00 per Patriot, and I think she registered 11 patriots! -- is enough to make you shake your head! If you want more information go ahead and contact me off list. *´¨) ¸.•´¸.•*´¨) ¸.•*¨) (¸.•´ (¸.•` ¤ Suzy ¤ • •"*~♥~♥~ IndianaDaffodilSociety.org >>> My immigrant ancestor Johan Adam Weiss (Adam Wise) of Pipe Creek, MD and >>> Washington County PA did not fight in the Revolutionary War but I have >>> "heard" that he did supply the armies and as a result was given land in >>> Washington County.
