I would still like a couple of suggestions for books that would provide a general overview of early Brethren history, and hopefully some insight into what their daily lives were like. ******************* I wrote on these subjects - The Farmer, The Housewife My especial emphasis was the Four Mile Church, just across the State Line in Indiana - setting about 1840. One chapter was on the years work on the farm, in those days. The other was on the housework, daily-weekly and over the year - in the more primitive conditions common in those days.
