    3. On page 167 the "History of the Church of the Brethren in Southern Ohio, 1708 - 1920" includes a bio on Rev. John Brower (6 Sept 1783 - 27 Apr 1863). He would have been licensed in Montgomery County because Preble County was not split off until 1808. However, so far as I know the family always lived in the area that became Preble County. "History of the Church of the Brethren in Southern Ohio, 1708 - 1920" Also, is there a recommended book that chronicles the early history of the Miami Valley? Thank you!
