I have received information that the church described below isn't the Trinity Lutheran in New Holland, but rather the Trinity Lutheran in the city of Lancaster. I am going to check the title page of the book again but I suspect that my correspondent is right. If that is the case, that would make it much less likely that this Johann Philip Mauck is the Johann Philip Mack who was a son of George Conrad Mack.
