Since a lot of the Kentucky Brethren moved up to Illinois, some of you might be interested in this book - Sugar Creek - Life on the Illinois Prairie by John Faragher.  It's a social history of the county  from approx. 1820 - 1880.  I found some info about my Nathanial West & confusingly, another Nathanial West.  I thought it was fairly interesting, & it's available online.  Jeanne Webb
