    3. I did not drive up to the Clark Co IN, Fouts Cemetery, but both Steve Fouts (retired school teacher of New Washington IN, who has a berry farm about 2 miles north of town) and his sister (Patricia Jackson, if my scrap of paper is correct -I made contact with Steve first, he referred me to his sister, who knew the family history) made reference to it. The cemetery was explained as north of New Washington, north of where Steve Fouts lives. They both stated how their ancestors, Jacob and Mary Fouts (FT134 on my sheets -whose Bible Record is at Indianapolis) were buried there, and descendants. (I think Patricia said that included their parents - I talked to both of these on the phone -not finding Steve at home when I stopped at his house.) While they used the name "Fouts Cemetery" - that might not be the official name. From something Patricia said, it probably is on, or near, the farm of Jacob Fouts Going north from New Washington, the highway, IN62, makes a bend eastward, going to Madison IN. Steve Fouts lived a little south of the bend, and a road there at the corner, goes strait north . As I understood, the Fouts Cemetery was off of that "strait-north" road. Patricia knew of the Olive Branch Cemetery (some 4 miles south of New Washington), but had not been there. There in Clark Co, they have individuals who are individually responsible for each of the several cemeteries. The primary interest in Clark Co seems to be the Silver Creek Church and Cemetery, which is a very early Association that became Disciples of Christ (I copied its early membership list). It did not include any Brethren names with which I was familiar, but the Olive Branch Church (or whatever its original Brethren name was), after the ban on Elder Adam Hostetler (buried there), became Disciples. There is some 8-10 miles between the two cemeteries. That was quite a distance before the automobile, and with time and distance and all the events I was exploring, they knew nothing of the Brethren nor of any Brethren connections.
