This is a letter of appreciation to Merle, Wayne - all the other people on the Brethren List who have offered help and encouragement to me in trying to put my husband's Stump line in helpful and usable order. 1. With limited information, my husband, left a brown 6x8 inch envelope containing a photocopy of the will of David Stump of Clinton County Ohio - 1845 - wife not named, but children:David, Samuel, Rebecca, Margaret and Isaac; also miscellaneous search records on this family. Anyone interested in this family's records, may contact me at: liztuc@sbcglobal.net. 2. My husband left a penned memo as I've copied: "IGI - Patron's Sheet Johannes Stump - Philadelphia Batch #7707517 (S/S 89) Batch C 504861 0165 Barbara and Johannes had a son, Johannes" Can anyone identify this and explain it to me? Was the "Redstone Region of Pennsylvania" in Bedford, Fayette, and/or Somerset Counties? Is there any way to check for a marriage record of a SECOND Francis Stump - grandson of Francis, the Elder-Minister - probably in Muhlenberg County - to a first wife, by whom he had one son - and with the son, but not the wife - he migrated to Edgar County, Ill. about 1825? Thanks again, - Most Sincerely Liz Stump
