Wayne, There were three Matten/Marte/Marten persons listed aboard the Ship Allen in 1729: They were Christ Marte (own handwriting Lists B & C), his wife? Maria Agnis Matten (List A), and his child? Christopher Gotlip Matter (under age fifteen List A). There is a question whether or not George Adam Martin was on this ship. The Brethren Encyclopedia says that he was born in 1715, which, if true, would put him on the cusp of the few boys under age fifteen who were listed. Do you have some information about his birth family that would tie him to the Ship Allen? It would be great to include him with the Ship Allen Brethren if possible.
