A Hans Gunde was a passenger on the Ship Allen in 1729. A Brother Gundy died, October 18, 1757, as recorded in the journal of Christopher Sauer II. At least one old history book (History of Philadelphia 1609 - 1884, by Scharf and Westcott) lists a Hans Gunde in Germantown with the Beggerstown Brethren during this period (Vol. 1, p. 1314). Also, a Sister Gundi is named as a charity recipient in the Germantown Brethren poor books, and in Alexander Mack's account books, in 1759 and 1760. Does anyone know anything more about Hans Gunde?
