Since Sarah was a sister of my great-great-grandfather, David Kimmel, I took a look in my computer and learned I had more questions than answers. I don't have a marriage date for Daniel & Sarah. First of all, the six children I have for Daniel & Sarah Flory are these: (1) John Flory, born about 1858 Montgomery Co. OH, married Susannah Ulrich Beeghley; had daughter, Mary Elizabeth. (My information concerning this marriage came from Gale Honeyman. I don't have DOB DOD DOM, and I don't know whether there are more children.) In the 1880 census, at Auburn, Sangamon County, IL, John is 22 and living with his parents & siblings. The census taker noted he was "at home" which seems unusual for a male his age. Normally he'd be "farmer" or "at school," wouldn't he? (2) Sallie Ann Flory born 20 April 1859, Montgomery Co. OH. I don't know where this information came from. I haven't found her yet in either of the two censuses I've found Daniel & Sarah's family in. I don't have a DOD but apparently she died at Auburn, Sangamon County. The notation I have on her card in my computer is "Row 5 Dunkard Cem. records." Probably at the time I typed that in it meant something to me. (3) Elihu Flory, born about 1862 Montgomery Co. OH. In the 1880 census at Auburn, Sangamon County, he is 18. I have no information about any marriage for Elihu. (4) David Flory is 12 in the 1880 census, Auburn, Sangamon Co., which would have him born about 1868. However, that raises still more questions, because the family information I had entered for him said he was born August 7, 1880 and died August 13, 1889 at age 9 y 6d. So the nine-year-old David must be some other David Flory, because he can't be this one. (5) Sarah Flory born December 2, 1867, in Illinois, married Solomon Scheller Stamy (b 13 January 1866), according to Cathryn Driver. Their children Nellie Roxie and Daniel. I don't have DOD or DOM. In our family records we had the name spelled "Stamey," but Cathryn said "Stamy." (6) Elizabeth Flory. I have no information on her, just the name. She could fit into the list of children anywhere. (7) A surprise. in the 1900 census at Chatham, Sangamon County, IL, there are no children living with Daniel and Sarah. He is 73, she is 68, and they've been married 48 years.
