    1. [BRE] Christian Schneider, d. 1784, Philadelphia
    2. The following Christian Schneider may be the Christian Schneider who was on the Allen (1729) but most likely is not. Pat Armstrong, a Schneider researcher, sent me the following data about Christian. "This Christian Schneÿder died in Old Philadelphia in 1784 at the age of 88, making his birth year ca. 1696. He was buried from First Reformed Church of Philadelphia on Apr. 4 1784. Christian lived on Sassafras [Race] St. for quite a few years before he died. He may also have had a tavern on Second St. in the 1750s." His wife's name is listed as Anna but this could be a second (or third, etc.) wife. Pat also said that this Christian owned land in Bedford Co., PA, an interesting fact. However, there was a lot of military service among his descendants, which isn't too consistent with him being Brethren. >From what Pat wrote to me, the Frederick Schneider listed below most likely is the Frederick who was a son of the Christina Schneider who died in 1784.
