In the 1850 census for Perry County, PA, Carroll twp, I happily have found the household of "A.S" Abraham Bowman, farmer, age 25; his wife Barbara (Hoerner) 26; Mary Ann, age 2 (grew up to marry Logan Hickerson); Elizabeth, age 9/12 (didn't make it past age 1, alas); farm laborer James O McClintick, 27; Magdalena (Leib) Bowman, age 50; and a young man, Henry Wolf, age 16, not identified in any way. Everybody is born in PA in this list. I know who all these people are except for Henry Wolf. He's not labeled as kin nor as farm labor nor as boarder or servant.
