probably from the Flora, Indiana, newspaper about 1924.: "MRS ESTHER SINK DIES FOLLOWING A 2-YEARS' SICKNESS "Following an illness that had extended over a period of almost two years Mrs Esther Sink, widow of the late Esom Sink, died at the family home east of this city Thursday afternoon of last week at 4:30, death presumably being due to a stroke of paralysis, the second with which she had been afflicted. Just before the end came she had taken some medicine, administered by a daughter, Mrs Will Stouse, who resided with her. The latter had stepped from the room a minute, thinking the mother would again lay down. Hearing a noise she went back into the room and found that the parent had fallen to the floor, cutting quite a gas in her forehead, Death soon resulted. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at one o'clock at the home, conducted by Daniel Skiles of Rossville. Interment was made in the Musselman cemetery. "Esther Musselman, one of four children of David and Esther Musselman, was born on the old Musselman homestead, north of the city on Deer Creek, September 21 1847 and was at her demise 77 years 8 months and 20 days of age. All her life had been lived in Carroll county. On February 28, 1875, she was united in marriage to Esom Sink, who preceded her to the Great Beyond six years ago last February. To this union four children were born, all still living to revere her memory. They are David F, of near Burlington; Mrs John Moore, of near Cutler and Mrs William Stouse and John Sink of east of town. She is also survived by four grandchildren and a large host of friends. For 50 years or more she had been a member of the Old Brethren church." JT **************Need a new ride? Check out the largest site for U.S. used car listings at AOL Autos.
