There apparently was a John Hendricks who married a Mary Perkins and this John Hendricks is said to have had a son William. Perhaps this is your John Hendricks. My guess is that if this John was your William's father, it is probably not the same John Hendricks who was the famous Brethren Elder John Hendricks of Drakes Creek Kentucky fame. There was more than one John Hendricks, but they might have been related.
