    1. [BRE] undated obituary for Elizabeth Sheaffer Moore
    2. Also from Great-Grandpa's scrapbook, probably from the Adel, Iowa, newspaper: "AGED LADY DIED QUITE SUDDENLY. MRS. ELIZABETH MOORE PASSED AWAY AT HOME OF HER BROTHER ON TUESDAY MORNING. "Mrs Elizabeth Moore, an aged lady who has made her home with her brother, John S Sheaffer, for some time, passed away about 10:00 o'clock yesterday morning. Death was quite sudden and was due to the infirmities of age. "Mrs Moore has been poorly for a week or more, although her condition was not thought to be serious. When members of the family looked into her room to see how she was feeling it was found she had passed away and the doctor summoned stated that death had occurred about an hour previous, presumably from a heart attack. "Mrs Moore had been poorly [sic] for a and 25 days old. She was a sister of the late Mrs Anna Starr, who died at the home of Mr and Mrs O E Emmert on September 28th. She was able to attend the funeral of Mrs Starr but has failed rapidly since that time. "Funeral services were held at the Shaeffer home this afternoon and the body shipped to the old home at Lena, Illinois, where burial will be made." [I was hoping for a DOB and DOD, since I was very curious as to what constitutes an "Aged Lady."] JT **************Need a new ride? Check out the largest site for U.S. used car listings at AOL Autos. 3. There is an obit for Elizabeth in the Gospel Messenger, 1929, p 703. She was 84 years of age, died in IA and the widow of William K. Moore who died in 1911, p 581 at the age of 80 in IL. William's first wife was Caroline Myers. Elizabeth folks were Martin Sheaffer died 1887, p 207 at 73 in IL and Leah Shirk Sheaffer died 1891, p 462 in IL. Jan, thanks for these obit posts. 3. I wanted to thank whomever posted the obits. Not only is the infomation very useful, it is also a fine example of the art of obituary writing that we have lost over the years. Blessings, Janet
