Gale- I've been working with tax records for the past few weeks, and found an intriguing entry- in the 1789 tax list for Bedford County (Morrisons Cove) an Abraham GENTSINGER is listed. The most interesting thing about it is that the assessed taxpayers had their ages listed, and Abraham's is given as 30 yrs old. This would mean he was born ca. 1759, and was somewhat older than other sources suggest. It also indicates that he may have left the Salisbury 100 in Maryland, although of course land ownership doesn't necessarily mean residence.
