    2. Thanks Bill, I'm starting to feel like a moth circling around a candle. The comment gave a little more focus and I found a number of further connections between the two families and at least one more probable child of Jacob. One would assume Rhoads and Newmayer had some form of association. John Stump was a witness on the sale transaction. (Bill Thomas) **************It's Tax Time! 3. Glen: I was looking at some wills for John Stump of Leacock Township, Lancaster County, and came across something that may relate to the Newmyer family. I have suspected that Francis Stump and John Stump of Somerset County had some connection to the family of John Stump of Leacock Township. John's father was Johann Julian Stump, who had ties to Alexander Mack in Europe. Another son of Johann Julian was Jacob Stump who married Elizabeth Becker. John Stump of Leacock was associated with Conrad Beissel and Ephrata. Dwayne Wrightsman had several emails regarding the Stump/Becker connections in recent weeks. Anyway, one of the executors of John Stump was Wolf Newcomer. Wolf Newcomer was also the guardian of his son Peter Stump. The Will is dated 1748, and the Orphans Court record is 1754. Newcomer and Newmyer seem very close. Recall a John Stump witness the property sale of Jacob Newmyer.
