    3. It is with a sad heart that I send this anouncment to the Brethren list. Gladys (Cool) Royer was a member of our Brethren genealogical community and the author of several family books. She was both a distant Spitler cousin and friend. Gale Honeyman Gladys I. Royer March 8, 1930-March 5, 2008 Gladys I. Royer, 25457 C.R. 32, Goshen, died Wednesday at 12:24 p.m. at her home. Surviving are her husband, Dale L. Royer; three sons, Allen (Patricia) Royer, Goshen, Mark (Lou) Royer, Modesto, Calif., and Melvin (Barbara) Royer, Marion; and two daughters, Karen (Leonard) Meador, Rossville, and Diane (Doug) Reavis, North Manchester. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. There will be a prayer service at the funeral home Sunday at 1 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, Goshen. Burial will be in the Old German Baptist Brethren Church Cemetery, Goshen. Goshen News, 6 Mar 2008

    3. Gladys Royer was genealogist, friend, and "cousin" to so many of us. She was always there with her wonderful and well-documented files on many German Baptist Brethren families when one needed help in researching one's own ancestors. She always gave of herself and her own research in a quiet and helpful behind-the-scenes way. I am saddened to hear of her passing and will miss the dialogue we had over the years. Dwayne Wrightsman
