The info I have has the Berks line descending from the Meyer spouse, and the Lancaster/Lebanon line from the Mauer spouse. The name was spelled Pasour for those that migrated to North Carolina. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of gale honeyman Sent: Monday, May 02, 2011 10:36 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [BRE] Stump Beshore etc & Beeghley question Bill, Hans Jacob Böshaar born c1645, married 1) 1681 Reformed Church in Zweibrücken, Pfalz, Anna Gertrudt Meyer, 2) 1693 Hornbach, Pfalz, Anna Christina Maurer. There were a total of 11 children born to these two unions. He, his second wife and the surviving children from both marriages emigrated from Zweibrücken in 1709 settling in Hurley, Ulster County, New York state where he died in 1719. Sons Johann George b 1694 and the only colonial born child, Johannes b 1711 both relocated in Lancaster County PA, retaining the Reformed faith. The eldest son of the senior Hans Jacob born in 1681 was given the same name as his father. He remained in the Schoharie Valley of NY state. It was his son Johann George born in 1717 who married [Maria?] Catharina Stump, removed to Berks County PA and embrased the Dunker faith. In the mid 1970's I had quite a round of correspondence with the late Frances (Bashore) Francis, an authority on this family whose files are held by the Lancaster Mennonite Library. Without going through all of them, I seen to recall that she said there were several dozen or more spellings of the surname that she had found, including Peeshoor in the ship registry of Captain Johan Facit. According to Frances, the Beshore/Bashore's in this country all descend from this 1709 emigration. Gale There are two lines of Beshore's who tie together back in Europe. You have the Berk's County Beshore's who were Brethren, and the Lebanon/Lancaster County group that was German Reformed.
