---------------------------------------- The names and birth dates of Elder Martin & Susanna (Price) Gaby Sr.'s children was published in Brethren Roots, summer issue 2004, p 40. In order they were Catharine, Susan, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob Mary, Daniel, Esther, Martin Jr., Salome, Elizabeth, John and Solomon born between 1766 and 1787. Gale *************** Thanks Gale - I pulled my copy out of file - I had some information previously - from various sources, including the internet - it did mean re-arranging the order of the children - it eliminated a Peter that someone had added - it added a Mary and Elizabeth - of whom I have no information for me - it gives solution to the John Gaby problem - John Gaby, son of Elder Michael Gaby came out here to Indiana Territory - - Salome Gaby, dau of Elder Michael Gaby, married Daniel Fiant came out here to Indiana Territory - about 1802 - or just after they were married - brother and sister - with families - probably came out together John Gaby first lived a little west of now Brownsville IN - just west of the Whitewater River or likely on the path from Dayton OH to the John Conner Trading Post (now Connersville IN) Daniel and Salome (Gaby) Fiant - settled on the Delaware Indian Road - "Fiant's Ford" - crossing of the Whitewater River - north of Brownsville, at Yankeetown IN both moved west to near Springerville, Fayette Co IN - Daniel Fiant's farm was about 1 mile north of Springerville, and the next mile west ....Daniel and Salome were buried on the hill on the SE corner of the farm - stones are still there the New Bethel Brethren Church was at the crossroads, NW corner of their property (recently burnt down) it was served from the Four Mile Church - monthly services - Elder Carey Toney/Elder Cornelius Petry ....I found a picture of it - is included in my 200th Anniversary of the Four Mile Church (www.cobnet.org) [on wonder - with two main families - children of Elder Martin Gaby - Oley Church] the 1820 Census (I'll have to look up - whether I got it from Wayne Co IN or Franklin Co IN) gave John Gaby as born between 1780 and 1790 - the letter gives 15 Mar 1785 it gave his wife Hannah as the next decade older than John it gave 1 son and 7 daughters I had found 3 of the daughters Susannah GABY......m. 25 Sep 1825......Richard STRONG (MD) b. 9 Jun 1802 MD....................................b. 15 Jun 1790 VA d. 19 Nov 1883 Faayette Co IN.............d. 15 Feb 1848 Fayette Co IN bur: Stong Cemetery/family farm............bur: Strong Cemetery f.
