    3. ---------------------------------------- would you give me information on your William Miller - John Miller - and related family? dates and spouse's name would help me match up information - to families i have information on - I have traced the Four Mile Families - including all the children of Elder Jacob Miller - which is my wife's ancestry - I started on that 30-40 years ago - I would have to hunt to find some of my sources. The Four Mile Churches were on the Indiana side of the State Line - but families did move on - I know I do not have information on all the Millers in this area of Indiana - Also, we know that birthdate reports did change. My ancestor down in Clermont Co OH reported himself as 97 years old ("an active farmer") in the 1870 Census - research finds he was actually 10 years older (Revolutionary War records - and the birth of his first child) I have Miller Families in the Kentucky study - there was migration from some of the Kentucky church areas and the Ohio River area up to Vermillion and Putnam Cos IN (some going on to Illinois and west). I do not specifically remember any families going to Parke Co, but I do not have complete information on every individual in these families - so related information may help identify people. Merle

    1. [BRE] Parke County Millers
    2. There is an on-going project to abstract the Parke County probate boxes, so that researchers can know where to find information about individuals.  At the same time all the information in each file is being photographed.   It's a multi-year project, and the results, including the images, will likely end up on the Parke County genweb page.  Information being abstracted includes name of decedent, heirs and widow where named, administrator of estate, appraisers of estate, date of the file, and notes of interest.   Other court cases are occasionally found in these boxes. I volunteer only once a month, so I only get a sketchy view of files; however,  I have noted the Miller surname mentioned in the receipts of a Raccoon Twp. estate from the 1830's-40's era.
